I decided a change in career was right for me in early 2017 and the fitness industry was the obvious choice having had a lifelong interest in health and fitness. I have participated in numerous sporting activities for as long as I can remember and I wanted to encourage and motivate others to feel the benefits of exercise, physically, mentally and socially.
When my Personal Trainer suggested that I should consider Pilates as a route to follow, I was dubious at first. Most of my sporting activities were either team sports or cardio based workouts. However, I signed up for the Mat Based Pilates Diploma and found myself not only enjoying understanding my body in a whole new way, but appreciating how the Pilates exercises could help my performance in all forms of exercise. As well as the discipline of stretching and improving my flexibility, I have to say I was completely bowled over by how Pilates made me feel stronger both physically and mentally.
My first experience of Pilates was seeing the benefits that it gave my husband, who after a spinal injury used Pilates to recover, improving his strength and flexibility. This gave him the physical ability and confidence to return to other forms of exercise.
Pilates is a discipline that I have really taken to in the last 3 years. I feel blessed to have found a career that not only makes me feel good but helps others. With the bonus of meeting some fabulous people along the way!

Simply roll out your mat and practice a Pilates routine along with me. Exercise and stretch from the convenience of your own home at a time to suit you. Pay a monthly fee to have access to these routines as often as you'd like.
